Description

Country scrapple, also called “poor man’s bacon,” is a classic breakfast staple and a savory addition to any meal. Our scrapple for sale at S. Clyde Weaver features salt, pepper and mild spices for a delicious flavor. The pork meat comes in 1-pound and 6-pound blocks that are ready for you to slice and enjoy.

What Is Scrapple?

Scrapple is a blend of pork and a favorite dish for many. The meat cooks until tender with added flavorings. Wheat flour and cornmeal mix into the pork, and the mixture roasts until firm. After chilling in pans, the scrapple is ready for slicing — or in this case, packaging so you can enjoy it.

Top Choice of Scrapple in Pennsylvania

Our scrapple is unique to Lancaster and surrounding communities. Each lean, well-seasoned slice offers a taste of Pennsylvania’s Dutch and German roots. You can celebrate the rich food and culture of Lancaster County with every bite. We were even featured in Food & Wine for the best breakfasts in PA!

A Must With Breakfast or Brunch

To best enjoy our country scrapple, cut each piece of pork into ½-inch slices. Bake or pan-fry the meat to develop a satisfying crust on the surface. Serve it with your first meal of the day or whenever you’re craving it. You can enjoy scrapple on its own or with your choice of toppings, such as apple butter, maple syrup, jelly, mustard or horseradish.

I moved to Tucson, AZ, from Nazareth, PA, way back in 1990. Until then, I didn’t realize just how regional scrapple is and just how hard (read that, “nearly impossible”) to find outside S.E. PA it would be. I always got my fill when I’d visit PA, but still missed it until now. S. Clyde Weaver’s is like tasting home again each time I eat it!! Thank you for making this available to all of us who no longer live in the PA areas where it’s common! A wonderful taste with just enough spice.

I grew up on scrapple, joined the military, moved away and now only have it when I visit family. Was back in PA from GA recently and bought a lb to bring back with me.

Now it’s time to refill 😉

I grew up scrapple and ring bologna. My grand parents lived in Lessport and one block from their home was a butcher shop. Today I am 73 years and my family really enjoys scrapple and ring balogna. We have retail stores that sell ring bologna here in Green Bay but there is no comparison. Scrapple isn’t found anywhere in the state of ,Wisconsin.
of Wisconsin. Both your scrapple and ring bologna are outstanding and I would recommend CLYDE S Weaver as the very best!!

I am 65 years old, and have had Clyde Weaver’s food ever since I can remember. My aunt and uncle Raymond and Jeanette Martin works for the East Petersburg store. So we were able to taste everything that they have. I cannot tell you how awesome their Scrabble is. I live in Georgia now and I always order scrapple sweet bologna shoofly pie you name it and they mail it to me

I’ve been working in the meat processing business for over forty years. I recently retired and have made thousands of pounds of scrapple over the years. Yours is the best I have ever tasted. God bless you and your business.
